In the beginning... It all started sometime in February 1999 when Renrick "Kap Inggo" started mass emailing his newwave online friends: Benjie "The Boy Wonder" & Joyce "Joyceefruit" (Los Angeles, CA), Alain (Saipan), Ian (New Jersey, NJ), Alvin "Waxboy", probably a couple more whose names I already forgot...& of course, me! Next thing I knew, I started receiving all these "unwanted" emails from all these people. The interaction had just begun & it was crazy! Theirs was "Reply to All" while "Delete..delete..delete" was my response to it. This craziness went on for days...until Kap Inggo had to call out for my attention. "Levan! Salita ka naman t*** i** ka!!!"...hehehe! So I eventually gave in! Then one day, Renrick called me up & had a conversation about the whole thing. He pointed out that it was just like the "eGroups" mailing lists that both of us were part of. "Maybe we should make one," he said..."I think that's too complicated," I said...Well it wasn't after all. While all bored surfing the 'net later that evening on February 23rd, I decided to check out www.egroups.com (before it was bought off by Yahoo! & became YahooGroups in 2000) ...I just clicked on some buttons, filled out a form & bingo!
